Oh, the places you will go

Second Life Destinations now has a video travelogue and I was lucky enough to be a part of the very first one at The Pen.

The Pen is Bay City’s popular self-proclaimed “beatnik hang-out space” where you can grab an espresso and join the community for conversation, book readings and good times!. The venue hosts “Espresso Yourself,” an open mic night held on the first Tuesday of the month from 6-8 p.m.

Getting Back to Basics

3/4/2019

After my 13th rez day and a little soul searching, I am getting back to basics, including "managing myself". Having a management team just didn't feel like me, and I missed meeting venue owners and the whole part of being connected to people versus "managed". And let's face it, everyone knows I'm unmanageable.

I owe a big thank you to the folks at The Key Management Group (KMG) did for every thing they've done the last six months to help me out!

Book me directly. Or, find me in world.  Please and thank you!

Grace joins Keys Management Group

8/20/2018

Keys Management Group
I generally fall into the "unmanageable" category, but the kind and capable team and musicians at Keys Management Group (KMG) have agreed to take me into the fold. In addition to having one of the hardest working teams on the grid, KMG includes a talented group of Second Life musicians.

For bookings, you can contact Laurie Alexis, Taj Nishi or Liz Harley directly, or just fill out the booking request form.

A huge thank you to Liz Harley, Laurie Alexis, Taj Nishi and Lexi Amaterasu for all that they do and especially for making me feel like part of the KMG family already.

IndieSpectrum Radio welcomes back Grace McDunnough

My first couple of weeks back on the Second Life grid have been a bit of a whirlwind, but one thing has remained consistent and that is the warmth and welcome of the SL live music community. From listeners, to venue owners and fellow musicians, I have never felt so wrapped in a welcome home hug before. One of those big warm hugs came from Fox Reinsch, the founder of IndieSpectrum Radio. Fox offered me a one of his openings straight away.

IndieSpectrum Radio is a privately funded advocacy dedicated to exposing more people to the musicians in Second Life, and to promote their efforts as independent musicians by broadcasting original works 24/7 since 2007.  I am thrilled to be playing an all original set on the ISR home stage tonight at 5pm SLT. Following me at 6pm SLT will be Strum Diesel (aka Sean Kagalis) so plan to stay a couple of hours, because Strum is a delight.

If you make it, please say hello and be sure to IM me if you have a request!

It's been a very long time, but Meegan Danitz and the entire crew and crowd at After Dark made returning to the grid an absolutely humbling and giggle-filled experience.

On Saturday at 1pm SLT, I'm headed back to Feed A Smile at Lavender Field. If you can, please come help raise awareness and funds to support Brique Ziener's tireless efforts.

Sunday at 5pm SLT we're starting a bi-weekly at After Dark, leading in for some of my favorite musicians including J Lively, Suzen JueL, Lyndon Heart, and VooDoo Shilton.

Thanks for the warm welcome back.

MadPea Productions and Feed-a-Smile

2/20/2014

Last week MadPea Productions launched a campaign to raise funds for Feed-a-Smile - one of my favorite NGOs in Second Life. The goal is to raise enough Linden dollars to feed 400 kids in Kenya for a month - that means 1,200,000 $L.

What kids are we feeding? These kids.

There's a celebrity auction where you can bid on time with the likes of Bryn Oh, Drax, Harter Fall, and a host of others I am not telling you so you won't outbid me!

There are also raffle boards for real items acquired from Kenya. For 100L$ you can enter a Raffle to win a necklace or doll that will be shipped to your (real life) home.

Finally, on the 23rd there will be a ton of stuff going on - including DJs and live music from folks like Shannon O'Herilhy, KatRose Serendipity, and Marky Helstein. I am playing at 7PM SL and would love to see you there!

That all sounds great, but there's some troubling news. There are only 3 days left, and when I just checked, the total boards were at 510,248 $L. For those of you who slept through the morning math class - THAT IS LESS THAN HALF WAY.

So here's the deal. The next time you get in world, stroll over to Mad City Crying Peacock Park and if you can't find anyone that floats your boat then drop a few $L into the frog's hand. Otherwise, drop by on Sunday around 7 and feel free to heckle me (for a few $L).

Please, and thank you.

Thanks to each of you who came and donated so generously at Grace O'Clock on Key West Island in Second Life. By the end of the set there were 22,975 Linden dollars stuffed into the little red Sandy Pig!

I matched those $L and sent $200 USD to the American Red Cross earmarked for #Sandy relief  efforts on our behalf.

Thank you for listening and for being who you are.
